Day Trip to Oxford, England

Oxford, England - this makes UK town #3 since I've moved to London. I really need to get out the city more because there is so much to see in the UK. And Oxford did not disappoint.

I've said this before, but as a self-proclaimed city girl, small towns do have my heart. There's something cute and cozy about a small town. I think what's so appealing is the slower pace and how quiet (and clean, omg) they are.

With a £8 roundtrip train ticket, Sammi and I were off to Oxford for one of the days during her weeklong visit. We were pretty lucky most of the day weather-wise, getting to see all the Harry Potter sites before the rain rolled in.

One of the highlights was seeing where the Goblet of Fire courtyard scene was filmed! We found the exact tree that Tom Felton (a.k.a. Draco Malfoy) sat on before being turned into a ferret by Mad Eye Moody. Honestly, iconic. This is located in the New College Cloisters - another must for any HP fan. Goblet of Fire is one of my faves in the series - mostly due to the Yule Ball and long-haired boys. I'll say it again, iconic.

And another thing about getting out of London. You realize how expensive it is, like what I am actually doing. Living my best life, that's what.
