When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.
I think now more than ever I feel both frustrated and inspired to do better. I am working on being more understanding of those who I don't share the same beliefs with and people in general. How I view the world is going to be different than the person next to me. Yet, at the end of the day, we're both just trying to do this thing called life.
I'm optimistic about the times ahead and even if that wasn't the case, I read this quote and automatically feel a sense of ease. We don't know what tomorrow will bring, but we can hope for the best. Better than that, we can love one another and encourage compassion.
I think about this all the time. If I am ever so lucky to have children of my own one day, I will teach them kindness and gratitude and above all, how to be a good person. And I want my amazing colleagues to do the same with their own children. Because that's the future we all need to strive for and it's closer than we think.
